What happens
Elle leads a short, gentle session: a welcome song, things to find and touch, a little wander, a snack by the fire and a story. You follow your child's lead, and nobody minds mud.
What to wear, for both of you
Waterproofs and wellies for you too, and layers you don't mind getting muddy. Bring a flask: tea in the woods is half the fun.
Toilets and changing
A compost toilet in a private tent, a sheltered changing mat, and warm water and soap for hands.
A gentle path into Forest School
By the time they are two, the wood, the songs and Elle will already be familiar, which makes the first drop-off far easier.
